Recipe Submission Terms & Conditions

1. After reading all guidelines click Recipe Submission
2. Please be very specific and detailed as to measurements, ingredients and directions. Also, please include a short (50 words or less) story about yourself and your recipe.
3. For contests, you may enter more than one recipe unless the rules explicitly state otherwise. If duplicates are received the entry with the earliest time stamp will be given priority. Recipes not among contest winners may be considered for future magazine issues, cookbooks, promotions or other publications.
4. Be patient, it may take us awhile to read through all of your amazing submissions and make decisions. We may hold your submissions for future use without telling you, but as soon as we use it we will inform you. Submissions that don't fit in the magazine will be considered for our websites, cookbooks, promotions and other publications.
5. By submitting material for publication, you grant Real Food and Health, its parent company Traditions Media and Publishing LLC, and affiliates use of the material including, but not limited to: your name, hometown and state.
6. We reserve the right to modify, reproduce and distribute the media in any medium and any manner or appropriate place. We test recipes submitted to us and reserve the right to alter them as needed. We may contact you via phone or e-mail regarding your submission.
7. Submitting photos? Please submit digital images as jpegs at 300 dpi.

Article Submission Terms & Conditions

We are looking for: articles, recipes, tip sheets, book reviews, product reviews, and opinion pieces pertinent to Real Food, health, lifestyles and hobbyists.

Please include the following:

• Your Article. The preferred format for text submissions is plain text (.txt), but we will accept .rtf, Open Office (.odt) files, and Google Doc shares.
• Please cite all references using Chicago Style Guidelines.
• Photos should be in jpeg format with at least 150 resolution and at least 300x300 pixels. Please include a "Photo Courtesy Of" and whether or not permission to use it has been given.
• Also include a short author bio (1-3 sentences) and headshot at roughly 200x200 pixels.
• A statement giving us non-exclusive permission to publish the article. We will contact you before printing.

Submission does not guarantee publication. We reserve the right to edit for clarity, content and length. If your article is accepted, you may be asked to sign a non-exclusive copyright release.
